Paul recently served as Senior Marketing Manager of Office Labs, an organization focused on rapid innovation within Microsoft's Business Division. Previously, as Senior Product Manager, Emerging Markets, he led Office’s earliest efforts in online software distribution, ISV engagement, subscription computing and sku modeling. He was instrumental in setting program and pricing strategy for Office in emerging markets, and played an important role in bringing Windows and Office together to subsidize software for Internet Cafes. In late 2005 he proposed an Office subscription concept to better serve developing markets, and followed up 18 months later with a six-country launch of the 2007 Microsoft Office Prepaid Edition.

Prior to joining Microsoft, Paul worked for Sun Microsystems in their Market Development organization, where he drove competitive analysis and research for their ISV ecosystem. He has previously held Technology Analyst positions at Tribune Company and the Yankee Group, and owned and operated a consultancy to early-stage software companies before, during and after the burst of Tech bubble.

Paul holds an MBA from U.C. Berkeley and BS degrees in Industrial Engineering and Computer Science from Northwestern University.
